Our Raptor Racing PTU brace for the Focus RS is proudly engineering and made in Canada. The Brace itself is made out of Canadian Sourced T6061 T6 Aluminum which is hard anodized in black, the hardware is 18-8 A2 Stainless Hardware. The bolt holes are precision machined to account for the 2 different sizes of bolts used to mount the brace to the PTU. Other manufacturers simply machine all 4 bolt holes the same size as it's easier to manufacturer that way, howerver doing some creates a weaker mounting point as there is less contact for the bolt.
The factory brace is made out of stamped steel and does the job for those who take their RS out for "Sunday Drives", but we all know that most of your did not buy the RS to go cruising. Any sort of performance driving; whether its road course, autocross, time attack, lapping, drag racing or aggressive street use will put strain on the factory brace. Our beefy aluminum brace with 4 mount is exactly what the Doctor ordered for those who drive the RS as it was meant to be driven.
