This has been designed to be a performance modification that will increase horsepower, and torque, as well as improve the throttle response while reducing the turbo lag. This is achieved through the design that provides the turbocharger with a larger volume of unobstructed airflow to allow the turbo to breathe much easier to produce the performance.
